Notre Dame de Paris
Building upon the foundations laid down in French I and French II, the French III curriculum further expands the students’ vocabulary, enabling them to express themselves in both oral and written forms about the topics specified in each lesson. As the lessons progress, the students will be exposed to more complex grammatical structures to enhance their ability to express their thoughts more completely and with greater accuracy in French. Greater emphasis is placed on both correct grammatical expression and correct idiomatic expression. Students will rehearse oral expression and aural comprehension, as well as self-expression in writing, and reading comprehension with minimal to no translation into English.
